Shah said in
three BJP-ruled states – Gujarat, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh –
panels under the chairmanship of retired Supreme Court judge and High
Court chief justices have been formed, where all groups and people of
different faiths are putting forth their views.
Article 370:Jammu and Kashmir
was administered by India as a state from 1952 to 31 October 2019, and
Article 370 conferred on it the power to have a separate constitution, a
state flag, and autonomy of internal administration.
UCC: The proposal and
direction for Uniform civil code is placed in the Constitution of India
in its directive principles . As the civil code matters are placed in
concurrent list of constitution, state legislatures also have the power
to make UCC legislations. Goa has already a Uniform civil code.
